Reasons to Join
The Course – Great care and attention is given over to course management with a dedicated team of groundsmen who are keen to maintain and build on the standards set over the preceding years. Temporary greens are rare due to the free draining land allowing year round enjoyment.
No Queues – As membership levels are maintained to ensure overcrowding is not an issue.
We operate an informal system without restrictive tee times; members can just turn up and play (tee restrictions will only apply for club matches).
Members’ Club – As a members owned club, Flempton GC is run for its members by its members.
Short On Time – Flempton GC is a nine hole course with every third hole ending back at the Clubhouse. As a result players can cut their game short after 3, 6, 9 or 12 holes if they are short of time. This suits those who wish to nip over for a few holes after work, those that work part-time, and those that wish to put in a few hours refining their golfing skills.
Competitive Golf – A wide range of competitions are held at all levels. As a relatively small club there are many opportunities for those keen to test their mettle in inter-club, national or county level competitions.
Competitions not your style? Our club holds regular social roll ups, organised sessions, inter-club friendlies and other casual events for those who wish to enjoy their golf at whatever level.
Coaching required? Our club Pro offers individual, group and on-course tuition. Beginners coaching leads to Academy or Full membership. Help with gaining a handicap is included.
Reciprocal Links with 47 other members of the 1895 club.
Social Events – One off social events such as dinner with a guest speaker, rule quizzes and charity events are organised regularly throughout the year.
Standards – Our members appreciate the standards set by golfers of the past and hope that new members will also value the sporting etiquette that ensures a round of golf is completed in a courteous and considerate manner.
Keeping in Touch – Members are kept informed of golfing and other social events by regularly e-mailed newsletters and notices.
