Alfie Halil, distinguished himself at Thorpeness over the May bank holiday weekend. Alfie carded a gross 75 in a scratch competition that attracted 40 of the best Suffolk juniors and Alfie walked off with prize.
Bronze Coronation Awarded
Fern McCarthy (12 yrs) has won the Bronze Coronation medal. Fern collected her awarded at the AGM of the SCLGA. The medal is given to the bronze division (female) player with the lowest score in the county. Fern scored nett 67 in the morning and nett 59 after lunch in the Club Championship. Fern’s handicap was cut from 36 to 27.
Grab An Adult Competition
The inaugural and highly successful Flempton “Grab An Adult” competition was held on the 30th with this photograph showing just some of the competitors. The winners were Jack and Angus 20pts; Kieron and Ewan 20pts; Rio and Pauline 19pts.

County Inter-club Competitions
It is our aim to build a squad of regular young golfers, then we will be able to take part in an active schedule of Suffolk Golf Union team and individual events/matches.
