Flempton GC played the 1st round at home against Hintlesham GC on Sunday 24th April.
The Tolly Cobbold Cup is a Suffolk County Foursomes match where 4 pairs from each side play both morning and afternoon matches contesting a total of 144 holes. The competition is for players with a handicap index that ranges between 9.5 – 18.4. Scoring is on a cumulative holes basis (rather than matches) meaning every hole counts and every hole of each match must be played to a conclusion.
Congratulations to the Stephen Banthorpe (Tolly Captain) and his team as they won by a comfortable margin of 15 Holes on the day. The second round is scheduled for Sunday 22nd May and FGC have been drawn to play Away against nearby neighbours the Suffolk GC. Thank you to all members who attended the club to show support to the team on the day.
